Graduation and the traditions and ceremonies leading up to commencement are an important part of our university. Staff, faculty, and students are invited to nominate an individual to deliver the Baccalaureate address at the annual Baccalaureate ceremony the day before commencement. One of the traditions of our commencement ceremonies is the conferring of honorary degrees to individuals who motivate and inspire our graduates as well as our campus community. Because the community celebrating commencement represents a wide range of academic disciplines and future aspirations, it is appropriate that our honorary degree recipients be similarly diverse. All members of the Lehigh community are invited to nominate individuals for honorary degrees.
