DESCRIPTION: Designated to honor excellence by graduate student teaching assistants (TAs), this award is given every spring to three Lehigh University Teaching Assistants. Each will carry with it a $500 cash prize and recognition by the University. Only undergraduate students are permitted to submit nominations for this award.
ELIGIBILITY: Nominations may be made by any undergraduate student for any graduate student teaching assistant currently employed by Lehigh University. No one is eligible to receive the award more than twice.
CRITERIA:
1. Attention given to individuals in class 2. Knowledge of the subject matter 3. Attention to preparation for class 4. Willingness to give assistance 5. Ability to communicate ideas 6. Flexibility 7. Sensitivity and individual demeanor 8. Other characteristics which you consider pertinent to the quality of teaching at Lehigh University
METHOD OF SELECTION: Award recipients will be chosen from the nominations by the Council of Deans. If an outstanding candidate cannot be identified, no award will be given.
