Hillman Faculty Award

The will of the late Ralf R. Hillman, Lehigh 1891, provided for a sum of money to be known as the R. R. and E. C. Hillman Fund. Under the terms of the bequest, the Trustees of Lehigh University are requested to make an annual award or awards for excellence in teaching or research work, or for advancing the interests of the University in any way the Trustees may select, or for a special financial need requiring aid, of which the Trustees may become aware, or for any other reason which they may deem just and proper. No single recipient is to receive the award two years in succession or more than twice altogether.

You are invited to submit the name of the faculty member whom you consider to be most worthy of the $5,000 Hillman Award for 2008. Only faculty and staff members are permitted to submit nominations for this award.

The nominations will be reviewed by a Faculty Award Committee who will submit their recommendation to the Senior Officers. Traditionally the University reserves this award for those who have distinguished themselves through long-term excellence or service to the institution.

It looks like the time period for accepting nominations for this award ended on 03/24/2008.

Please try again next year or have a look at the available awards.
