The will of the late Ralf R. Hillman, Lehigh 1891, provided for a sum of money to be known as the R. R. and E. C. Hillman Fund. The Hillman Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Student Advising shall recognize exemplary student advising defined as either: (a) guiding students through their exploration and pursuit of an academic course of study; or (b) assisting students in the development and/or completion of research related to their degree program.
Any Lehigh University faculty member is eligible for consideration. No single recipient is to receive the award two years in succession or more than twice altogether. Traditionally the University reserves this award for those who have distinguished themselves through long-term excellence or service to the institution.
You are invited to submit the name of the faculty member whom you consider to be most worthy of the $5,000 Hillman Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Student Advising. Only undergraduate students are permitted to submit nominations for this award.
It looks like the time period for accepting nominations for this award ended on 03/24/2008.
