Alfred R. Glancy, Lehigh class of 1903 and distinguished Lehigh Trustee known as “The General,” set up the Alfred Noble Robinson Award ($3,000) to be awarded annually to a faculty member or, in exceptional cases, divided between two members of the Lehigh faculty under the following conditions: 1. Eligibility for this award is limited to persons who are: a. Employed full-time by Lehigh University in teaching, administration, research, or any combination of these and in at least the second year of such employment; b. Less than 35 years of age on University Day of the award year and below the rank of associate professor or its equivalent. 2. Nominations for this award are made annually by faculty and staff. The nominations will be reviewed by a Faculty Award Committee who will submit their recommendation to the Senior Officers.
Previous winners of this award have shown extraordinary enthusiasm for Lehigh’s goals and priorities, often working beyond their direct area/unit on University-wide projects or committees.
It looks like the time period for accepting nominations for this award ended on 03/24/2008.
Please try again next year or have a look at the available awards.
